27 July 2015: Proposed transfer of MetLife American Life Insurance Company (Cy) business to MEL Cyprus Branch
Since late 2010 MetLife has been undertaking a group business restructuring project. MetLife is now proposing, subject to obtaining court and regulatory approval in Cyprus, that American Life Insurance Company (CY) Limited, an insurance company member of the MetLife Group established and operating in Cyprus, will transfer its insurance business and its entire portfolio of insurance and reinsurance contracts to MetLife Europe Limited (MEL).
