Overview

Protect your most valuable asset, you and your ability to earn a living. Our Income Protection policy can provide a regular income if you are unable to work because of an accident or sickness. You can select the following cover options:

• 1 year or 2 year maximum benefit period

• Day One Cover (subject to being unable to work for 5 working days)

• 8 Week Deferred Cover

• Day One Cover, subject to being unable to work for 5 working days, or 8 Week Deferred Cover
• Provides an income if you suffer from an accident or sickness that prevents you from working
• Can pay an income of between £100 and £5,000 per month, or a maximum of 50% of your gross monthly income, whichever is lower, for up to two years depending on amount of cover and benefit period selected, and subject to the minimum premium
• Cover from the first day off work if you are unable to work for at least 5 working days, as a result of an accident or sickness
• You are covered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year once you are accepted for cover.

Key Points to Note

• The policy does not have a cash surrender value
• There is a minimum premium of £5 per month per policy
• Day One Cover is subject to you being unable to work for at least 5 working days
• 8 Week deferred cover - benefit is payable from the 9th week you are unable to work as a result of accident or sickness
• The policy is fully underwritten and subject to medical acceptance
• Total amount of benefit payable per specific accident or sickness will be limited to your benefit period of 1 year or 2 years, dependent on cover selected
• You must notify us of any change in occupation, as we do not cover some occupations
• Benefits are fixed and do not increase in line with inflation. Inflation may erode the buying power of your benefit
• Cover ends on your 65th birthday.
