Retirement Portfolio
The MetLife Retirement Portfolio offers clients a completely new dimension to
retirement planning, with all the advantages offixed annuities – but with the flexibility of
income drawdown.
We offer
funds to suit all types of investor – from our Best of Breed
and Index Funds to our Managed and Index Portfolios. Only
after extensive screening by Morningstar Associates Europe
Limited (Morningstar) will a fund make it on to our list. Once
a fund appears on our list, it undergoes constant monitoring
to ensure it continues to meet our criteria. Our Managed and
Index Portfolios are also rebalanced regularly to ensure that
they continue to meet their objectives.
Some clients are more adventurous than others and are prepared
to take more of a risk in their search for greater returns. However, with the MetLife
Retirement Portfolio you can choose to protect your capital and take advantage of any investment growth.
You can select the Secure Capital Option during your accumulation phase and protect your investment for a maximum of 20 years.
When it comes to retirement, you can select the Secure Income Option which allows you to take an immediate income which is guaranteed
for life or defer the income to a future date and benefit from guaranteed step-ups of at least 3% per year plus a guaranteed income for life.
